We at MVN truly believe that the goal of a child’s development is fulfilled only if academic learning is accompanied with exposure to a vast range of practical experiences involving creative constructions, communication and interaction, regular guidance, exploring one’s artistic inclinations and of course lots of fun.

• Activities

Students are indulged in inter-house activities, both subject based and those artistic in nature. A range of activities are organized every week for honing various essential skills. Card making, jingle making, scrabble, ad making, group discussions, story-telling, collage making are just a few examples.

• Assemblies

Children also host assemblies to observe and celebrate special occasions. Special days like Mother’s Day, Teachers Day, Earth Day, Music Day, Nature Conservation Day are some special days celebrated by the students. In addition to these, students also present assemblies on festivals and national days like Independence Day, Deepawali, Eid, Christmas etc. These are a fun way of building team spirit among young minds.

• Counselling

Regular counselling sessions are organized for the students to inculcate in them social and emotional skills. The school counsellor is also given regular period in different classes where the students are engaged in various intriguing exercises like VARK questionnaire, memory games, confidence & concentration building exercises, learning style questionnaire etc. Students are also provided with personal counselling sessions whenever required.

• Inter and Intra School Competitions

Both, Inter and Intra school competitions are organized by the school throughout the year to promote talent. Students are encouraged to participate in various Competitions. They are trained to excel and bring home laurels at all levels. Prerna, Tech-Blitz, Mock Parliament/MUN are a few such events held each year.

• Social Awareness Campaigns

Students are also encouraged to organize social awareness campaigns for various causes like literacy, save nature, help the needy etc. Students visit Old age homes, orphanages and NGOs like Goonj etc. They spend quality time with the senior citizens and little children understanding their needs and perspective. Our students have stepped forward in dire circumstances like Kerala floods to contribute towards relief programmes.

• Spotlight

MVNites are known to be great performers whether in examination hall or on stage. Our students are conditioned from a very early age to participate in various cultural and co-curricular activities and competitions. They are confident and dynamic individuals who sway their audience with their mesmerizing performances. We fondly showcase the best talents of our children for all to watch.

• Student Council

The school has a full fledge student council that runs parallel to school management and the student body. These nominated members of the council display the values of leadership and self-righteousness for others to idolize and imitate. The council is proactive in organizing and managing various events held in the school. These student leaders also impart valuable knowledge and lessons they have learnt along the way to the younger ones in school through workshops and sessions.

• Trips and Excursions

Trips and excursions are also a part of the curriculum here. Both domestic and international trips are organized to take the students on experiential journeys into the outer world with loads of scope for learning and evolving. Day trips and nature or historical walks are also included for the students to enjoy and gain knowledge from. MVNites have ventured into the NASA and Hong Kong Space Museum Astropark and returned home with a treasure of knowledge and experience. They have also been a part of student exchange programme to France and strolled the countries of Europein an experience of a lifetime.

• Workshops

Workshops on developing efficiency, time management etc are also organized. Sessions on various career options and career counselling are held so that the students can explore their options and decide a course for their future. Workshops and sessions by subject experts, professional career counsellors & resource persons are organized for the students to gain benefit from.

• Annual Day

Annual Day isorganized each year by different wings of the school where students showcase their artistic talent to the parents. These are theme based mega-events that weave together a string of performances based on some well thought aspects of life, depicted through plays, songs, dances etc leading to a roaring culmination. Students look forward to the annual day and cherish the entire journey from selections to practices, dress rehearsals to the final event, accumulating loads of fond memories on the way.

• Sports Day

Sports Day in another Annual Event that our kids love to participate in and present to the parent community. They display rigorous sportsmanship in all the sports matches like volleyball, basketball, football, lawn tennis, table tennis etc. These are woven together with cultural performances, mass yoga, gymnastics etc. The tug of war towards the end of the event is held among much roar and enthusiasm. These gala events are a fun-filled and colorful portrayal of the child’s creativity and development.
