A Career Counselling Workshop was organized for Class X students to help them make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. The session began with a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Mr. Shubham Tomar, Assistant Manager from the Admissions Team at Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham University.
In his insightful session, Mr. Tomar emphasized the importance of understanding one’s interests, strengths, and goals when choosing a career path. He encouraged students to approach this important phase with clarity and confidence, sharing practical tips and valuable resources to aid their decision-making.
A Profile Building Workshop was conducted for Classes IX -XI, focusing on the importance of developing a strong personal and academic profile from an early stage. The session, led by Dr. Neeta Bali, emphasized that profile building extends beyond academics to include extracurricular activities, leadership skills, community involvement, and personal growth.
Through interactive discussions, students reflected on their strengths, explored new opportunities, and learned to align their interests with long-term goals. Shrey Ahuja, a distinguished alumnus (Batch 2021-22), shared his experiences, highlighting the significance of nurturing one's passion. Notably, Shrey has been sanctioned a project by the Ministry of Home Affairs with initial funding of ₹2 lakhs, focusing on Forensic Sciences.
MVN School, Sector-17 saw the organization of an immensely significant session on DECODING CAREERS & COLLEGE APPLICATIONS for Class XI. Ms Charushila Narula Bajpai, Founder Director & Key Mentor, UniversityConnection.in, and, a career and college guidance counsellor of international repute, was the resource person. The session commenced with Ms Charushila highlighting the three key determining factors i.e Communication, Skill Set and Critical Thinking in charting a successful career strategy. The students were briefed about the critical role that clarity about which course to take and where to pursue plays in shaping one’s career.
The school counsellor Ms. Sreshti Chaturvedi conducted an engaging workshop titled “Stand Your Ground: How to Set Respectful Boundaries with Confidence” for students of Classes 6 and 7. The session began with an interactive discussion highlighting that boundaries are important not only for protecting oneself but also for respecting others’ feelings, space and choices. Through relatable school-based examples of friendships, group work and playtime, students explored how healthy boundaries help build trust, safety and mutual respect. Students learned the importance of using a clear voice, maintaining eye contact, using “I feel” statements, listening carefully and accepting a “no” from others without argument. Emphasis was placed on managing emotions, thinking before responding and understanding that respecting someone else’s boundary is just as important as setting one’s own.
