Investiture Ceremony 2026–27: A New Chapter of Leadership Begins at MVN 17

Modern Vidya Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Sector 17, Faridabad hosted its Investiture Ceremony 2026–27, an occasion that marked the formal induction of the newly appointed Senior and Junior Student Council from Classes VI–XII. The ceremony celebrated the transition of leadership to a new generation of young MVNites, entrusted with the responsibility of upholding the school’s legacy while shaping its future through integrity, initiative and service.

The ceremony commenced with a serene prayer, invoking blessings for wisdom, strength and clarity as the young leaders stepped into their new roles. This was followed by a stirring musical presentation that set an inspiring tone for the occasion. The ceremonial March Past brought together the four houses—Daffodil, Lily, Lotus and Rose—in a magnificent display of discipline, coordination and house spirit. The synchronised movements and confident presence of the student contingents reflected the unity and collective strength that lie at the heart of the MVN ethos.

A defining moment of the ceremony was the formal investiture of the newly appointed Student Council, as the badges and sashes of responsibility were conferred upon the young leaders. From the Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy Heads to the House Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects entrusted with Academics, Discipline, Cultural, Editorial, Sports, Tech and Good Samaritan portfolios, each appointment represented a significant responsibility and a mark of the trust placed in the students by the institution.

The House system added its own vibrant dimension to the occasion. Daffodil, Lily, Lotus and Rose, each distinctive in character, came together as one MVN family. The houses symbolise qualities that are integral to a well-rounded individual—optimism, grace, resilience, courage and compassion. The newly appointed house leaders now carry the responsibility of nurturing these values among their peers and fostering a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie.

The newly invested council members also had the opportunity to share their thoughts and aspirations for the year ahead. Their addresses reflected enthusiasm, gratitude and a willingness to shoulder their responsibilities with sincerity. Their words echoed an important truth—that leadership is not about occupying a position, but about becoming a dependable presence for others and contributing positively to the community.

The occasion was further enriched by the words of wisdom and encouragement from the school leadership. Principal Ms. Agalya Venkatesh congratulated the newly appointed council members and reminded them that leadership carries with it the responsibility to uphold the values of the institution and inspire others through exemplary conduct. Coordinator Ms.Shalini Vaid extended her best wishes to the young leaders and encouraged them to approach their roles with discipline, integrity, teamwork and commitment.

The ceremony culminated in the solemn oath-taking, as the newly constituted Student Council pledged to discharge their duties with dedication, honesty and a deep sense of responsibility. The pledge transformed the ceremonial honour of the day into a meaningful promise for the journey ahead.

As the badges were worn with pride and the oath was taken with conviction, a new chapter of student leadership began at MVN. The ceremony served as a poignant reminder that leadership is not defined by the badge one wears, but by the values one embodies, the lives one touches and the difference one makes.

With confidence in their hearts, responsibility on their shoulders and the MVN spirit guiding their way, the Student Council 2026–27 of Classes VI–XII embarks upon a journey of purpose, service and achievement.

The Student Council functions as an advisory body for all matters pertaining to student activities and is at the heart of student life at MVN. The Student Council helps share students’ ideas, interests and concerns with teachers and Principal. The purpose of the Student Council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council is a voice of the student body. The school follows an exhaustive, democratic process that involves peers, teachers and the interested students to choose the members of Student Council.

MVN School, Sector-17, recently held its solemn Investiture Ceremony for the 2025-26 session, formalizing the induction of its new Student Council. The event commenced with a disciplined march-past, symbolizing the leaders' commitment to the school’s legacy. The office bearers took a heartfelt oath to serve with dedication, after which they were conferred with their sashes and badges by the Principal and school coordinators, marking the official commencement of their leadership journey.

During her address, the Principal congratulated the Council and emphasized that true leadership is defined by service, empathy and being a role model for the 21st century. She encouraged the students to innovate while upholding the school's "tradition of excellence." The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the newly appointed spearheads inspired to lead with integrity and forge a path of success for the entire student body.
