The Student Council functions as an advisory body for all matters pertaining to student activities and is at the heart of student life at MVN. The Student Council helps share students’ ideas, interests and concerns with teachers and Principal. The purpose of the Student Council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council is a voice of the student body. The school follows an exhaustive, democratic process that involves peers, teachers and the interested students to choose the members of Student Council.
Modern Vidya Niketan Sr. Secondary School, Sector-17, Faridabad, recently held its Investiture Ceremony for the session 2021-22. The enthralling event commenced with the new leaders marching forward to discover the greater horizons of headship. With great pride the school consigned its reliance and confidence in the newly invested office bearers and the Student Council members took the oath to perform their duties with utmost sincerity, later they were conferred upon with sashes and badges by the Principal and coordinators of the school. Speaking on the occasion the Principal Ms. Agalya Venkatesh congratulated the newly appointed school council members and their preparedness to take up responsibilities entrusted onto them. She encouraged the students to follow the path of integrity to uphold and strengthen MVN's tradition of excellence.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and the spearheads donning the mantle of accountability went ahead to forge a path of leadership and success.

Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. Learning for life and a tireless striving towards excellence form the very ethos of MVN, 17. The institution is committed to sculpting leaders of tomorrow devoted to the welfare of all. In keeping with the spirit, the school constitutes Student Council in every session. Student Council acts as a bridge between the teachers and students ensuring coordination and effective functioning of various school bodies and provides a platform to the budding leaders to hone their leadership skills and organizational abilities.

Encouraging new leadership, MVN inducted its Student Council 2018-19 by celebrating its Investiture Ceremony with great fanfare on 26th July. The formal announcement of conferring the titles was a significant step towards the fulfilment of our aspiration to see our students evolve into responsible adults and future leaders.
Saraswati Vandana marked the commencement of the ceremony. A well synchronized March Past led by the house captains and the oath taking ceremony invigorated all the attendees with the pride of being an MVNite. Hand on their hearts, the council swore its allegiance to the school, pledging to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
The newly appointed Prefectorial Members were adorned with their respective epaulettes and badges. The Principal, Mrs. Agalya Venkatesh motivated all the students with her inspiring words. She impressed upon the students the importance of being good leaders. She reminded them that they are the torch -bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take up the responsibility with commitment and integrity. The ceremony was a grand success and was applauded by everyone.
